60ft Telescopic Mast

I had my first assignment using my new 60ft telescopic mast. It’s rather heavy, but equally stable which is a comfort when sending up expensive camera equipment. Unlike a manlift, this gear allows for placement in relatively small areas. I look forward to seeing things from a different perspective this year.

Image of the Week on NAPP website

This recent shot was just selected as “Image of the Week” on the NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) website. Chris Main, Managing Editor of Photoshop User Magazine informed me that the shot may be selected for publication in February. We’ll see – there are a lot of talented members of NAPP.

NEW! Low-elevation aerial photography

I am pleased to announce that Baxter Imaging LLC is now offering low-elevation aerial photography, with the same standard of excellence as our ground-based architectural work. I prefer to shoot most of my images from ground-level, but there are certainly times where an elevated perspective is essential to capturing the surrounds views. This new system has a small footprint and extends up to 60 feet high, which will make it useful for both interior, exterior, residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Modern Desert Estate

I finally caught a break in the weather, to photograph this modern desert estate in North Scottsdale. It was an early morning capture (5am) as opposed to the standard evening time. This shot was actually a late discovery, that I saw after finishing the main image. I had just enough time to capture it before the sun came up.

2011 Festival of Trees for PCH

I was asked to participate in the annual Festival of Trees, by photographing the designer Christmas Trees that will be auctioned off to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This is the second year I got to see some amazing work of our Valley’s designers up close.
