Woodcase at Las Sendas

I recently traveled to a custom home in Las Sendas, to photograph the work of Woodcast Custom Cabinetry, with owner Amy Baer. Dark wood is both elegant and difficult to photograph, as it absorbs light. A powerful set of lights always helps.

Evening Courtyard at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

Valerie Lee, Director of Public Relations for the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, asked me to capture a fresh, dramatic perspective of the resort courtyard. This view was captured from a scissor-lift around 15 feet high…just enough to reveal more of the fountain.

Thomas Custom Homes

Last week I met with Valley custom builder, Kyle Thomas of Thomas Custom Homes. We spent several hours taking test shots, then narrowing down the final to-be-produced shot list. The evening exterior was the last and most dramatic of all the images. It’s hard to be an evening shot of great architectural design.

Rio Verde Living (Room)

I just finished up the images from a photo session I had with Sharlie McRaney (ASID), Tigh Interiors. This was the final and most dramatic shot of the day, which required some significant re-arranging of the furniture in order to best orient the space to the camera’s perspective.
